"I wanted to shoot you a quick email to let you know some things that I have LOVED this year in the CSA boxes:

 

- Variety of squash.  I don't know if we had a variety last year - I don't remember.  But I really loved learning about new squash I had never seen before!  So cool!

 

- Cabbage.  Loving the cabbage.  I found a good vegan coleslaw recipe and it's my new favorite thing!

 

- Chard and Beet Greens.  These were AWESOME! I don't remember getting these last year, and they are super yummy.  Plus, I always forget my greens, so it's a healthy meal starter! :)

"Thanks so much for the fresh fruits & veggies and the great recipes!  We are now in our 2nd week of CSA box.  It's so much fun to see what is fresh from the garden and find fun new ways to enjoy.  It's like Christmas every Thursday!  Thank you very much for all of your hard work.  My Grandmother was a farmer in Magna, UT and sold her famous tomatoes and corn at roadside stands.  She worked hard and lived to be 96 years old.  We attribute it to her healthy work ethic and eating fresh grown produce:)  My cousin and my Aunt and I get together now every fall harvest and can tomatoes, marinara sauce, peaches and much more.  So, soon I will be purchasing your produce for our canning party."

"Oh, my goodness.  I've got those gorgeous hatch chiles (which I've never bought before but always loved) cooking away in a pot of beans right now, I had prize-winning blackberries for breakfast, I ate a raw ear of corn at my desk earlier (forgot we used to do that as kids) and I just bit into what is undoubtedly the most perfect, delicious little plum I've ever had.

I really can't tell you how much fun this has been, and how much I look forward to seeing what is in my box every Thursday.  It's like Christmas!  Thank you so much for all your hard work, your attentiveness with the weekly e-mails, and especially for the breathtaking fresh produce you send out to us.  My husband and I really, truly appreciate it.
